Apologies to anybody looking at this page over the past few days. Due a mistype there were some archiving problems that I've sorted out now (hopefully)... To make up for it I've been trying out some audio-blogging and I'll make the results available over the next few days. I recommend any MT users out there interested in this technology should install the MTEnclosures plugin

Apologies if templates, tables etc. went wonky today. I had to do some work on the live blog as I accidentally uploaded the wrong files. I know at least one person was looking at it today so I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Thought it was about time I put a new photo of myself on the site. I've gone all rasta in the past few weeks so here's me looking moody and showing off my new dreads in tasteful b et w. My tongue is firmly kept in cheek BTW.

I've been playing around with fractal generation over the past few weeks . Some of the results have made it into the redesign of Ordo Ab Chao. Feedback is appreciated but I'm unlikely to change much over the next few weeks. Also, many thanks to those surfers with time on their hands who mailed me their opinions on my new look. The dreads are also here to stay ;-)

Sorry for the lack of post over the last few days but I'm still waiting to get wireless broadband installed in my new house. Very frustrating. I'll be back soon with more eclectic ramblings about life and technology. Me & R have gotten a little kitten called....

Yes,the blog will get a much needed redesign over the next few weeks. I haven't posted anything in a while as I've been too busy doing other things. It doesn't mean for a second I'm less opinionated or big-headed. Just had to clear that up :-).

I submitted the first changes last night. Would have hacked out the little errors sooner but I had huge problems with upgrading movable type. Everything from files not transferred properly (or at all) by the FTP client to problems to the usual "ObjectDriver, DBI::mysql" issues. To anyone facing similar issues I'll give the following heads up.

1. backup your previous install including all files and database
2. reinstall all the files again, configure mt-config.cgi to point at your databaseand hope it all works

I've had a few comments over the past few weeks about my whereabouts and the future of Gaisan Technologies. Well, I've been working the past few months as a contractor within a WIT campus company focusing on next generation telecoms services (what else ? :)).
I'm happy to say that I'm now working with TSSG most days. Gaisan is still running, still open for business and still doing consulting on telecoms and contract software development. However, there will be many changes over the next few months and I'll keep you abreast of these on my blog. I guess an interesting opportunity came about and I felt compelled to take it.

I've been talking about it for a while but I've finally put my BMW z4 on the market. I'll really miss it but I'd like a change. Also, I rarely drove the thing as R & I use our nissan jeep to collect and deliver art around the country. Apart from being driven a few miles to work and back, it's been unused. I'd often look at it parked outside the house and think it would be an awful shame to damage it. So that translated into R never feeling comfortable driving it and me washing it and polishing a lot. I remember jbwan expressing similar feelings about his BMW z3.
